Teepees are still hot this year, and reader Mariah tipped us off to this favorite find on Etsy. These lovely teepees are made of unbleached cotton, vintage appliques, and even have cutaway windows with workable curtains...
Each teepee is individually handmade in Amsterdam or Wales. It has a removable base for washing, and folds up for easy storage.
All this loveliness comes at a price, but they are certainly inspiring and we love finding beautiful, quality items like this on Etsy. Check out Moozlehome's Etsy Shop.

Teepees like this are actually not that hard to make, so long as you can handle a little work at the sewing machine. You don't need any fancy skills.
I haven't checked, but I bet you could Google a tutorial if you can't figure out how to do it yourself.
I just made a teepee for my daughters second birthday... I'm not an experienced sewer, but the book I used gave clear directions, and we made a frame based on their instructions using hardware store dowels (ours is modified to use in or outside and also collapses). Instructions in this book: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d.html/ref=redir_mdp_mobile/186-0519052-5663706?a=1906094268
Her birthday is in 3 weeks and I know she's going to love it (she's fort-crazy already).
