After my last post, I can't seem to stop thinking about Easter baskets. I think I miss the days of waking up and having a happy surprise waiting for me downstairs. So, in that spirit, here's another selection of favorite finds:
- Wooden Easter Egg Nest from Indie Bambinos
- Crayon Roll from Alf Textiles
- Wooden Easter Bunny from Little Woodlanders
- Denim Easter Bunny from The Paper Needle
- Grey Dotted Cube Bin from Land of Nod
- Bunny Hat from Cuckoo Children

These are so stinking cute! Any chance you could post an article about inexpensive ways to fill a basket without resorting to sugar? That would be so awesome!
Bubbles, crayons, finger puppets.
The Today Show had $20 basket ideas on their show yesterday (Thursday). I think only 2 of them had candy in them. One had sour worms in a gardening basket, and the other was Swedish fish in a beach bucket basket.
OK. So is Easter the new Christmas?
That denim bunny is super cute, but I don't think my parents spent that much on the easter baskets for all three of us kids. Yeah, I sound poor.
the expression "easter gifts" makes me sad. Four or five years ago i noticed a Target sale paper announcing "Easter gifts" for sale, jewelry, small electronics, cologne, et cetera. What does Easter have to do with gifts? I was never hip to the Easter bunny and have never bought baskets and candy for the kids. it's another manufactured gift grab in the mom/dad/grad cycle.
Oh gosh, it's just fun. I grew up getting a basket of candy and maybe one bigger thing, like a CD when I got older, I'm not sure what I'd get as a kid other than candy. I think that was great. I never felt deprived at all, just the opposite.
The difference for me personally is that I don't want my kids having a basket full of candy. My oldest is only four and while I will let him have a bit of candy on the actual day, I rarely let him have it otherwise. To fill a basket with candy for him would be a waste. So I do little gifts. This year he's getting a wheel-o, a green toys pink car and one small chocolate bunny. Maybe some of those annie's cheese cracker bunnies in the bag made to look like a carrot. The baby is getting some baby legs, a small stuffed bunny and a car. I'm also making them both personalized paper mache eggs. I don't know if that's goiong overboard or not. Almost $30 on the baby, under $20 for the 4-year old. I don't know, I love easter and I don't want them to feel left out not getting all the candy. I also try to get things that we can use as easter decorations or keepsakes in the future. Like the stuffed bunny, I know he might not care about it now, but my older son got one for his first easter and I think it's a sweet tradition. I can use it for a decoration when he's not interested in it and then when he's grown up he'll have it in his house, from his first easter...
Those are really cool gifts for Easter's baskets. I too decided to gift something like this to poor children. On this Easter make someone happy.vêtements pas cher
