Alright, for those of you following the calls for change in our food system made by authors like Michael Pollan, Mark Bittman, and Nina Planck, chefs like Alice Waters, and films like King Corn and Fast Food Nation, here's another story that's hungry for change.
FOOD, Inc. opens this weekend...
...And it's part of the healthy food movement. According to the FOOD, Inc. site, the film takes an in-depth look at exactly what we buy at the grocery store to feed our families.
It's sure to be an interesting foray into the world behind our supermarkets--and yet another advocate for buying locally-grown and produced food from farmers you can actually meet.
The film is also promoting the Child Nutrition Act, which supports getting healthier choices into school cafeterias. Explore more about the film at their site, and read up on the Hungry For Change/Take Part Social Action Network blog.
We're looking forward to seeing this film--what about you?
