More Is More: 20 "Eclectic Collector" Children's Rooms

One could say we've saved the best for last when it comes to stylistic children's room roundups. The 'Eclectic Collector' room has personality in spades, and is always full of surprises. Take a look through these inspiring kids' spaces.

FIRST ROW:

1. Marlowe's Bright, Bohemian Room Tour - Marlowe's mother Drea sourced both vintage and worldly finds for her daughter's room.  We especially like the old baskets on the floor that allow easy access to toys - for both play and clean up.

2. Clark's Eclectic Collaboration - Everywhere you look there is a push-pull here: warm and cool tones, vintage and modern, classical and edgy.  The overall effect is very rock n' roll.

3. Reid's Excellent Eclectic Room combines flea market finds with Etsy discoveries and a modern touch.

4. Smith Takes Over the Office - A lifelong collector found a home for her cowboy and vintage loves when she had her second little boy.

5. Pippi's Whimsical Wonderland - Friends tell Pippi's mother that she should sleep there herself; it's that wonderful.  I was just thinking the same thing.

SECOND ROW:

6. Andrew and Rebecca's Modern Vintage Country Home - Whimsy of a green crib, charm of blue shudders, and an overall delicate touch make this nursery a place I want to lay my own head.

7. Anna & Joe's Living History in Georgetown is multi-layered with years of passionate collecting. Their daughter's lovely space is no exception.

8. Sacha & Iris' Playful Sleep Space proves that by keeping textiles in the same color family, things can match without being matchy.

9. A Colorful Vintage-Inspired Play Zone for 3: It's a tall order to get a play room for three children look this cute, but Corey has managed it.  Red, yellow and mints is always a happy way to go.

10. Who could forget Willow's lovely Montessori-inspired space from Nanette & Jonathan's Eclectic Family Home

THIRD ROW:

11. Basil's Colorful, Eclectic, and Color-Friendly Room- Mints, oranges, yellows and teals may be an unexpected palette these days, but when paired with contemporary artwork and hand hewn treasures, it really works.

12. Caroline & Jose's Remarkable Nest - Caroline & Jose approach everything from an artist's point of view.  It looks as if their daughter is following suit.

13. A Look Inside a Creative Kid's Room in Portland - If you hunger for more completely "unaffected" room tours, start here.

14. Art-Fueled, Playful Kid Heaven - Oeuf furniture often goes to families who love a modern, clean aesthetic.  So imagine my surprise and delight to see the same furniture come to life so differently in the designers' children's room.

15. A Dreamy Girl's Haven - Girly and eclectic are not necessarily mutually exclusive as is seen here.

FOURTH ROW:

16. Quinn's Big Boy Room with Black Accents - Full of creative inspiration, how can Quinn not become an artist growing up in a space like this?

17. Sophia & Charlotte's Perfectly Balanced Shared Room - Nothing like a the Eiffel Tower, a gallery wall, and a wardrobe full of costumes to transport these little girls and inspire lifelong travel.

18. It's easy to see why Iris & Harper's room from Sue & Graeme's Eclectic Victorian Townhouse has become an Apartment Therapy and Pinterest favorite.

19. Olivia Ellen's Copenhagen Charmer represents what can happen when you take your collections and edit with an eye toward Scandinavian sophistication.

20. The children's space from Rachel and Brett's Resourcefully Chic Family Home House Tour is easily something out of another era, yet stays young and playful at the same time.
