Board books are a child's first introduction to books and there are some wonderful classics. But there are also some wonderful, under-the-radar ones to discover. Two years ago I rounded up some off the beaten path board books and I'm back with fifteen more.

There are so many books I love on this list. (Dahlov Ipcar! Taro Gomi! Patrick Hruby!) A Book Of Sleep is one of the most beautiful books ever, though. It's available in hardcover, too. Such a favorite in my house!
"Counting with Wayne Thiebaud" was one of my son's favorites.
My younger son got Counting in the Garden from a friend for his birthday. That was more than 6 months ago and he still loves the book.
