Shaw's Original Fir...
I would trip over those rails.
my first thought is that this is an accident waiting to happen. In all fairness however I would have to see how these worked in reality.
Great idea, but these skis seem a little on the big side, and kind of ugly to me, personally.
"Clever" chair skis? How about idiotic chair skis? Really, what is their point? As noted above, tripping is waiting to happen. I can't imagine any context in which these things wouldn't ensure toe stubbing, tripping, and maybe adjunct spilling!
At first, I hoped that after the jump there'd be a picture of a cocktail party crowd slaloming down a hill on 4-inch powder, which would at least have lent these things a one-event novelty purpose. But alas.
WHY?
these are the oddest looking things. they look like they'd break your toe if you accidentally kicked them. ouch!
someone was obviously desperately out of ideas.
I agree with all of the above posters.
Why would you trip over/stub on these "skis" any more than regular rocking chair rockers? I'm not a fan of the way they look, but it's a clever idea if you wanted a quick rocking chair conversion.
I think it's wonderful that shut-ins and other out-of-shape types now have an option to go skiing if they desire.
Fail.
I love the idea of chair skis. It's brilliant, not to mention hilarious! Made my day.
You would think walking near a chair is equivalent to Olympic hurdling from the comments here... Worried about tripping? Lift your feet.
