Moroccan Design Masterpiece: The Home of Serge Lutens

W Magazine

The story of the successful and often shy perfumer Serge Lutens includes spending 35 years designing and overseeing the construction of an expansive home in Morocco. With such a fantastic home, it is quite unbelievable that Serge has hid his home from the world for so many years. Even more surprising, now that the home is finally complete, he is considering trading the large estate for a small studio.

The Moroccan dwelling includes many sitting rooms, most of which hardly get used. Serge does use the laboratory and outdoor patio for work and for nature's inspiration. A true artist, his passion for the Moroccan estate was more the process and less the end result.
