We've been planning a home office makeover, and our search for inspiration uncovered this project, which is an oldie but a goodie. Moryse Heron's office nook appeared in Apartment Therapy's 2007 Fall Cure. It's a great example of what can be accomplished with a little paint, decluttering, and some new window treatments.
One of the things we love about this makeover is that it doesn't depend on buying a bunch of new stuff. In fact, it's a little bit of a "make-under" in the sense that extra things cluttering the nook have been removed. After decluttering the shelves and counter, the rest of the project involved:
• Using matching containers to organize shelves
• Painting a brown accent wall
• Hanging a new shade on the window
• Hanging artwork and broom on the wall
Simple, beautiful, and accessible. It's great motivation to get going on our own home project!
