As much as I heard about technological advancements in tile during Coverings, there is still room for the beauty of tile and tiling techniques that were popular at the beginning of the 20th century. Mosaic USA imports stunning cement encaustic, Zellige and terrazzo tiles from Mosaic del sur factories in Spain and Morocco for the US market.
MOSAIC USA MUST-SEES:
• Solid & patterned encaustic cement tiles — 72 cement colors and more than 1,000 existing patterns!
• Zellige Tiles — glazed Moroccan tiles
• Terrazzo Tiles — highly polished marble chips in colored cement

I love geometric florals! Especially quatrefoils... That's my favorite pattern in the whole world.
There was a "Dear Genevive" on HGTV recently where she specified ECT's for a mudroom/rear entrance...
...it ended up with a rich, luxurious appearance!
my fav examples are at the Emery & Cie website & the 1930s malibu tile that are still in some homes.
I have just recieved my order of encaustic cement tiles from Mosaic USA for my remodeling project of my home and I am absolutly delighted! They are so beautiful and I know they will look amazing once installed. I am so pleased I found this cement tile company I will definatly tell all my contacts.
Dear Yoli:
I've been trying to contact and get information from Mosaic USA and I am making no progress. Could I ask who you spoke to there. There are no telephone numbers listed for their New Rochelle New York office but they seem to still have it listed on their website. I called their offices directly in Spain and the person there could only suggest I send an inquiry through their e-mail, which I did. No has responded. Did you make your transaction through the Unites States? Thanks for any info you can provide. Please e-mail me direct if you can. Thank you.

May I suggest SICIS? they are based in NYC but have resellers all over the US: www.sicis.com.
they have all types of mosaic, in glass, marble, metal, gres, and if you are interested in geometric floral patterns check out their Glass3, or Mediterranea Collection.
Does anyone know if encaustic cement is a bad choice for kitchen flooring? I know when I'm at convention centers (all concrete floors), my feet hurt after a while. I'd hate to put them in my kitchen and then realize it had the same result.
