• For Tippling Moms: Fishs Eddy Drinkware
While this is not for every mom, the Strip He Glass is great for the mother with a sense of humor. If cartoon man butts would make your mom blush, perhaps the glasses featuring characters from The In Crowd are more her speed. Either way, you'll be bringing a little whimsy and humor into your mom's life.
• For Sentimental Moms: Dear Photograph Book
The new Dear Photograph book, based on the popular website, will be released on May 8th - just in time for Mother's Day delivery if pre-ordered. Make it extra special but creating your own Dear Photograph to include with the book.
• For Literary Moms: Litographs
A picture is worth a thousand words - but in this case a picture uses way more than that. Artists use text from favorite novels to create images. Shown here: Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. The 24 x 36 inch print includes the full text of both Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass.
• For Rustic Moms: Restoration Hardware Italian Leather Scent Collection
For the city mom who would rather be in a cabin in the woods, Restoration Hardware's Italian Leather candles draw inspiration from nature.
• For Homebody Moms: Halftone Calendars
Choose an image, or submit your own, and Candy Sign will turn it into a 365-dot Halftone Calendar. As each day passes, your mom will fill in the dots to reveal the image. Have one made with your smiling mug and she'll definitely think about you every day.
• For Faraway Moms: Postagram
Download the Postagram app to your Android or iPhone and you'll be able to create and send a postcard of any image from your camera. The postcards, which only cost 99 cents to send, are a fun way of sending a personalized message to a faraway mother.
• For Chatty Moms: Jonathan Adler Universal Phone Dock
Many moms have made the switch over to a simple smart phone, having ditched their land lines like their kids did long ago. Give your mom the gift of an old fashioned phone ... charger. The porcelain phone is a fun place to stash the phone while charging.
• For Cozy Moms: Stitchtagram
We saw a post about Stitchtagram earlier this month and immediately thought it would be perfect for Mother's Day gifts. Submit your own photos - maybe of the grandkids, some of your own baby pics, or snag some of your mom's favorite pics from her Instagram - and have them made into a throw pillow.
• For Grilling Moms: CB2 Fyrkat Cone Charcoal Grill
If Mom downsized the empty nest, the The Fyrkat Grill is perfectly sized for a tiny balcony. Plus, it has a bi-level grill for grilling meats and veggies separately. But perhaps most importantly - it's totally adorable.
• For Old Fashioned Moms: Organic Bouquet
And then there are those mom who like nothing better than a simple plant or flowers on Mother's Day. Organic Bouquet offers many eco-conscious arrangements. In addition to cut flowers, they offer uncommon options like Gourmet Fraise Du Bois and Miniature Tangerine.

My Mom would fall into the "Old Fashion" mom category since she love plants. The grill is cool looking.
Wow, spamalot!
My mom? She wants Eva Zeisle (sp?) pieces from Crate & Barrel.
I wouldn't feel great getting those drinking glasses from my daughter--call me "old-fashion." The best Mother's Day gift is a day out or dinner with my girl. Nothing fancy: just good company. (I know the point of the article is to bring product to our attention since we are all product mongers....)
But the best Mother's Day presents included breakfast in bed with a "Hole" CD included; a daytrip to Longwood Gardens; etc.
my mom and mother in law (late 60s) are pretty traditional and would probably only like the candles and flowers from this list, though my mother in law would think I was crazy to spend so much on candles or flowers (she and I don't see eye to eye about the enjoyment value of luxury goods!)
this year, my mother in law is getting a personalized tervis tumbler (etsy) in her team's colors, and a stepping stone with my daughter's footprints. my mom is getting a handmade purse w/proceeds to charity. last year, the first year they were grandmas, I got them beautiful necklaces (etsy) with their kids' names on one disc and their granddaughter's name on a smaller disc (mixed metals). those were a huge hit.
for me, I think the calendar is neat, and the organic flowers. what I really want is something handmade (I'm spying a watercolor owl from etsy) and yummy homemade food. plus just spending the day with my little family :) [after I cook a big brunch for the grandmas, of course]
OMG..........
Love the Adler phone dock, but I don't know if it'll fit my Mom's Jitterbug.....
I had no idea there were Eva Zeisel pieces at Crate and Barrel. They're really nice!
I'd take a good bottle of wine and a babysitter. Ok maybe a new point and shoot camera...

Don't forget about vintage items on Etsy--- something of my mom's broke, and I found the EXACT same one on Etsy!! She'd been complaining for years that she couldn't find a replacement for this particular thing...can't wait to see how she reacts when she opens this year's gift.
@ AMBERM: now that's a gift with taste! mom is sure to enjoy it. well done.
I like the porcelain phone charger but my mom doesn't have a cell phone yet and it's a great idea. I think I'll get her one of those Tracfones for seniors with the large buttons and screens that I saw advertised does this charge any phone? It's perfect because then I don't have to worry that she may ave a fall while gardening and can't get back to the house to call for help.
@SASHA LOPEZ - If you look at the photo of the phone charger, it's not an actual dock. You would string your phone's charger through the hole provided at the bottom and it would charge the phone by connecting through the hole and you'd just rest your phone in the dock itself. The porcelain phone charger doesn't actually charge your phone; it hides the cord and looks like you're using it to charge.
Those Litographs are so cool! I just ordered one for my husband...but not for Mother's Day of course :)
The best present is one that's personal and well-thought out to fit the recipient. BUT sometimes we are racking our brains because either we don't know them well, or we have already exhausted other options. That's what these lists are for! Though, if I gave my MIL some stripper glasses she would either laugh or make a face of displeasure. Just goes to show, after 20 years maybe I still don't know her that well.
This year I'm getting my mom a facial, pedi, and a card that will read something like "Dear Grandma, see you in nine months." I may never be able to top this Mother's Day again. :)
Wow..it is a gear mothers day gifts ideas..these all things are amazing and different from the others and i want to order this my mom
QUOTE:... a card that will read something like "Dear Grandma, see you in nine months." I may never be able to top this Mother's Day again. :)
@ CYGNE: Nope....you just can't top that! Congrats.
The other nice gift is a personalized one. There are companies who making cookies or chocolate with personal message.
