Moto Designshop Designs a House with an Elevator Garage

One of the worst ways to wake up it to realize that your car isn't parked in the appropriate alternate side parking spot. You rush out, jammies still on, eyes still crusted over, and then drive around for an hour trying to find a spot. Not the best part of waking up. But, garages are a bit of a luxury, plus they tend to take up valuable home real estate. Moto Designshop has designed an 18-foot wide townhouse with a one car garage that brings a front yard, rather than taking one away...

Rather than driving down into a garage, the Grid House, being built in Philly, uses a lift to bring your car subterranean. Once downstairs, the topside of the elevator reveals a green roof that's now a little lawn on the ground floor. When the lift is up, the green roof becomes a second-story garden. Wooden walls open and close depending on how much privacy you want.
