Moulé, located in Portland, Oregon is a one-of-a-kind resource for special home accessories. Although most people make a bee-line for the fine apparel, we are fully delighted to spend our time exploring the new treasures in the front of the store. The name, "Moulé" is a French word meaning, "to shape or mold" and that is what this family-run business aspires to do. Each piece is carefully selected to bring pleasure to the customer who is looking for a unique gift or a individual product. Since they only carry one of each item, the store is constantly evolving into a fresh shopping experience.
Upon walking into Moulé, you are warmly greeted by people who are happy to help with anything you may need. The store is filled with a variety of items from the finest Claude Dozorme knives to colorful Russian nesting dolls. Fully educated on the history and details of each artist or craftsman, the sales team can make you feel like you've just stepped into a museum rather than a fine home/apparel shop.

Worst. Site. Ever.
Great pictures, so I popped over to the site to browse, and maybe, shop.
Sooooo. Slowwwww. Best example of form over function. Especially as you can't shop. At all. Ever.
i agree on the website...but great post/pix ashley . i have walked/driven by this store a bunch in portland, always meant to pop in and figure out what its all about. after reading your post i'll get my act together and actually check it out. thanks.
There is a Moulé in Winnipeg, and while I really like lots of the stuff they sell I will NEVER set foot in there again. The staff are "shaped and molded" into the most obnoxious salespeople EVER. They are on you from the second you walk in the door, and they follow you everywhere, chattering at you the whole time. I polled some friends on whether or not I just had "SHOPLIFTER" stamped on my forehead or something, but apparently the owner forces them to do it. It's unbearably uncomfortable. There were products I would have liked to ask for as Xmas gifts, but couldn't possibly send anyone I knew there to be assaulted. But maybe the staff aren't like that in Portland!
There's a location in Vancouver as well, on W. 4th.
I've gone there for years and have always found their staff off-putting. They either hover and follow you around after you tell them you're just browsing or the other extreme, rudely ignoring you. If I did require assistance I had to extricate them from their personal conversations. You're lucky if they even make eye contact with you.
I am confused as to why the description says they "Since they only carry one of each item," but the pictures clearly show that there are numerous of the same item.
Seems strange....
