Moving is one of the least favorite activities known to man. To make life easier, we used movinghelp.com to aide in the packing of our stuff. The supermen of IMI moving we found through the aforementioned website made our lives easier.
When we decided to move across country, we knew that loading our own U-Haul was going to be an issue. We only had a one bedroom apartment... but we have lived in the midwest long enough to accumulate enough stuff to make moving a serious chore. Since we actually rented a U-Haul, we looked around on their site and found that they were linked to moving help. Their site was easy to use and allowed us to easily schedule the help we needed for our serious move.
All we needed to do was let the movers contact us, show them what to do, and then give them the emailed confirmation code once we were done. If you do go over your scheduled time, all you have to do is pay the extra hour(s) in cash or check and that is it. We also suggest tipping if your movers do a solid job.
After you're all done you can follow up with an online change of address, instead of doing it at the post office.
