Moving In…To a Museum?

The Museum of Science and Industry is looking for a roommate. Yes, you read that right — they announced last week that they are looking for the perfect someone to move in and live in the museum (24/7) for 30 days this fall. Night Month at the Museum, anyone?

The living space aka "the cube" for the roommate was designed and furnished by CB2 and will be home to just the right person, which according to the MSI website is someone who is "an adventurous, outgoing person with a strong interest in learning about science and the world around her or him".

The experiment, entitled Month at the Museum, will run from October 20 - November 18, 2010 and if successfully completed, the roommate will receive a prize of "$10,000, a package of tech gadgets, an honorary lifetime membership to MSI, and new knowledge and experiences".

Dropping everything and living away from home for a month in an amazing museum sounds a bit like some crazy grown-up version of From the Mixed Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler — would you give it a go?
