The terrific weather has us wanting to spend every possible moment outdoors. Consider taking kitchen play outside and creating a mud pie kitchen for the little ones like the one Meg created.
You don't need anything fancy; just a work surface and some basic tools -- a muffin tin, play pots and pans, utensils and a big bucket of water. Dig up some dirt and let them get to work. I can't wait to set up a mud pie kitchen for the kids this weekend. Anyone planning to do the same? For more photos of Meg's mud pie kitchen, check out her blog Elsie Marley.

Shaw's Original Fir...
What a fun idea! I'm sure my son would love this, I'm definitely going to make a mud pie station for him this weekend! I might even whip up a cute little apron for him too!
We are going to do this at our preschool ...
