Here's a case of a great design, but at a price that we're not sure is warranted considering the materials used. The Muro Media Storage from DWR is a very smart design which allows for custom paint or wallpaper application to blend invisibly with the rest of your home decor, while also hiding cables/wires in the back...
The Muro Media Storage holds up to 100lbs, can accommodate for 36"-50" screen and offers 4 powder coated shelves for all your components. Like we said, very smart design. But the $650 price tag is unwarranted considering this is a piece of MDF board and we think any person with modest woodworking skills could create something very similar at a fraction of the cost.
We'd love to hear from anyone who has built something similar!

I built this version a couple weeks ago from some repurposed plywood (from an earlier project). The Muro design was the inspiration, but I still had to purchase a low profile mounting bracket (from monoprice.com), some screws, and some white stain. The rest of the project was my time and construction.
