Confession time: I am a collector. I love collecting things and most of which I try to force into some sort of display in my home. Unfortunately, after awhile, I have to admit, too much turns into visual clutter. The July 2006 British Elle Decoration featured a "clever idea" inspired from design consultant Peter Ting's beautiful home editorial. He created a "museum cupboard." Take an ordinary cupboard, line it with cool wallpaper or paint color, and fill it with your treasures you're not currently using as decor. Then after you're done admiring, you can close the doors and it doesn't disrupt the visual calm of your house. Ting says in the article, "To me, it feels like my very own jewel casket." Are any of you "collectors" as well? How do you manage your collections?
