Music Cage Speaker: Stylish With No Birds But Wireless

Most speakers tend to look similar. If you don't want a big black box, you usually have to spend more money on getting higher-end speakers. Thankfully, there are some newer speakers that are cheaper and can produce quite good sound without being too big. The Music Cage is something like that. Actually, it doesn't really look like a speaker and it's wireless, now how cool is that?

This aptly called Music Cage was just released by the Japanese company Nendo. Music Cage is a wireless home speaker that can also work via Bluetooth and it's available in either white or black. It also has these great retro chome switches and can be either suspended from the ceiling or put on a table/shelf.

Music Cage can stream music via a WiFi network, computer, or a Bluetooth-enabled mobile phone. It still needs to be plugged in, however since it's wireless, it does clear up some of the wires. We like how it can be suspended from the ceiling. Since it doesn't look like a traditional speaker, it's almost like a piece of art. Naturally, most wireless speakers don't tend to be hi-fi, because good wires from you stereo system to your speakers will make a big difference. Still, this looks like an interesting alternative.
