My favorite children's book and why I love it: My favorite children's book is Someday by Alison Meghee and Peter H. Reynolds. I love it because it's sentimental and it reminds me of how special and fleeting these moments with young children are. I love any books that have a sweet, meaningful story like "The Giving Tree" by Shel Silverstein and "You Are Special" by Max Lucado. On a silly side, I love anything by Mo Willems. There's something seriously funny about that pigeon.
My children's favorite book: My oldest loves anything that has a superhero in it. He also loves My Dad, My Hero by Ethan Long. Both my boys adore the Llama, Llama books by Anna Dewdney.

An illustrator I love: I adore all the Leslie Patricelli books with their bright illustrations. I also love Sergio Martinez (You Are Special) and Peter Reynolds (from Someday).
If my life were turned into a children's book the title would be: The Momma with Red Shoes and To-Do Lists.
Thanks Cheri!
More Cheri: We loved getting to know Cheri better in our Big Blog Family profile and touring her son Rex's Superhero room. Follow her adventures in crafty parenting on I Am Momma Hear Me Roar. (Like this brilliant idea for making quick arm warmers so her boys can keep wearing their favorite t-shirts as the weather turns cooler.

Mo Williams = Willems. He's a favorite of mine, too. I find the pigeon books far more hilarious in Spanish, too.. haha!
Me and my 2 year old (almost 3) adopted daughter love Little Miss Spider. :)
I got the book Someday as a shower gift. My friends were laughing as my mom, who was in attendance, and I had to have a moment (but they all understood!).
this children's librarian thinks you have good taste! I love Someday too. I give it often for expectant mamas. Every time I read it I tear up.
I LOVE this book! My mom passed away before I had my daughter, so I can't get through it without shedding some tears. It has great illustrations, too.
