My Favorite Children's Book:
Jennifer Cooper

Name: Jennifer Cooper Online home: Classic Play! My favorite children's book and why I love it: Ahh! I have so many, but I'll try to narrow it down to one. James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl was the first chapter book I ever read. I remember feeling quite proud of myself when I checked it out of the school library. Pretty sure I walked a little taller that day. The book itself was so full of adventure and absurdity. I was immediately hooked.

My children's favorite books: My 10 year old loves Lemony Snicket's Series of Unfortunate Events. Although, she'll admit, they can get pretty convoluted. I think she likes the mystery of it all. My 7 year old is a wild fan of The BFG. That one is fun to read together.

An illustrator I adore: I'm a huge fan of Lane Smith. First of all, his work is stunning. Second, the man seems like he has a good sense of humor. I like that.

If my life were turned into a children's book the title would be: The Girl Who Loved it All. It'd feature a little girl who couldn't make up her mind about what she loved best. Her parents would pile her plate with food and she'd happily gobble it up, exclaiming "I love it all!" Until broccoli appeared. Because broccoli? Well, that I can't abide.

Thanks Jennifer!
