Online home: Young House Love
John's favorite children's book: I love Oh, Were They Ever Happy by Peter Spier where the kids paint their parents' house all of these crazy colors using leftover paint from the garage. Somehow I could see that happening to us in the future&hellip
Sherry's favorite children's book: Apparently I really enjoyed My Book About Me by Dr. Seuss because not only did my dad fill it out with funny facts about me as a baby, but I also went back and updated it when I was 13 (with a distinctly angst-ridden teenage spin).
Daughter Clara's favorite book: Clara's a little young (3 months) to articulate a favorite quite yet, but she loves staring at herself in the mirror at the end of Amazing Baby: Baby Boo! She also seems to like the voices that we do while reading Yummy Yucky by Leslie Patricelli.
A children's book illustrator we adore: We've never seen a more charmingly illustrated bird than in Mo Willem's The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog and Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus. And you can't beat those storylines either.
If our lives so far were turned into a children's book the title would be: Something like Bark, Giggle, Thud because the sounds of puppy yipping, baby cooing, and enthusiastic hammering fill the air at our house.
Thanks Sherry & John!
If you're not already reading Young House Love, there's no better time as the addition of adorable Clara to the family is bringing some wonderful posts. We love her budget nursery, her cousin's mini-budget nursery and the guestroom/playroom. Their recent profile of Richmond, VA kids consignment shop Clover makes us want to plan an instant road trip.
