Tell us about your outdoor project and how you enjoy it: Our garden isn't very big but it is accessible and fun. My favorite part about our garden are the hand-made, personal touches, like the painted rocks and bird tree (our parrot enjoys time with us outside on sunny days). We also leave seeds and nest building material out for our feathered visitors. All our herbs and edible plants are along the edges in raised beds. The kids have planted sprouted store potatoes and they have grown into a nice little plant. I also like that the kids have toys outside and make bases and hiding spots for their army soldiers. This summer, we hope to add mosaic stepping stones as well.

How did you create it?:
I like to think of the yard as an extension of our home. We decorate it with handmade crafts and toys whenever possible.
