Tell us about your outdoor project and how you enjoy it: When I first moved in this was nothing more than a storage area, and slowly it has evolved into the perfect place for an afternoon of lounging and an evening glass of wine with friends. I love being outside, especially when it's too hot to stay inside...the porch is like a whole extra room.
How did you create it? This space was created slowly, over time....first the sculptura couch and then the wall art found during a trip to San Miguel and then the gardening - the Jasmine on the railing really made the space feel (and smell) special. Adding the geraniums was a nice touch of extra color and the rug really brought it all together.

Howard Butcher Bloc...
I love this! All of the color is beautiful!
Maggie! You created such a zen space! So nice to enjoy with your friends... Love your furniture! And your wall art is so happy looking! It all goes together so well! Sweet!
I love the wall ornament. That is a very clever use for it, out on the porch.
Like the fun touches like the laughing Buddha, the tree candel holder and the retro furniture
I love the orange chair. Can I ask where it's from?
Aaawww, what a lovely space!

I would be too timid to use all the color but it's really cozy and relaxing, not to mention perfectly scaled.
Excellent - love the colors!
you have to love a rug that ties a room together!
really, though, this is a citrus dream! i love it.
I love this outdoor space as much as my own! The color and the scale are perfect.
Wow! Very pretty! I'm inspired to add more color to my outdoor space…wish I had the guts to see it through.
Great colors!
Simple, colorful and sweet. I love the wall ornament.
you have used all of my favorite colors! i am feeling very inspired by this and i have a hankering to redecorate my lovely Baltimore stoop!
Thanks for all the positive feedback. It totally encourages me to bring some color inside as well.
Nicolson....the chair is vintage - Woodard Sculptura (and a can of orange spray paint). I found that one on CL.....

I love it! Well done!
This is just darling. The wall piece totally makes it. Great job.
Woah, I'm loving all the color. And the placemat :)
Of all the outdoor spaces I've seen this month, I think this is my favorite. That's beautiful!
I posted this in the wrong spot at first: I love the vines! It gives the porch some privacy. What kind of vines are those and how do you do that?? (I am just learning how to garden). Our porch is so empty and boring and it would be cool to do something different than just the flower beds that everyone in our neighborhood has.

Just enough; no more or you'll ruin it. Love the bird branch on the wall. It's lovely as it is. Mark me for those who love the color combination!
Beautiful space. I love the Orange chair. Where did you find it?
Such a colorful and happy space! I love how the FLOR squares tie it all together.
Can you invite me for a glass of wine, please?
Such a lovely little spot. Love the rug (I thought those were individual carpet tiles).
Beautiful! The tree of life candle holder absolutely ties everything together -- great color choices!
Hmmm, where did you get your pebbly door mat, please? I want one.,..
Love! :)
Yikes, I just noticed -- in the fine print -- that this post is almost three years old. Can't AT do better? It seems we're seeing more and more recyled posts these days.
A couple of 2012 commenters have asked the homeowner about sourcing accessories... wonder if she'll look at the (re)post... or if she'll remember where she got the stuff... or if she still even lives there.
Hi, I do still live there and the porch is largely the same, aside from my landlord painting the house a different color (which really impacts the look, I will send in a pic). As for sourcing; the orange chair is a Woodard Sculptura chair that I got on CL and painted with spray paint (it has since been powder coated but in the same color - more durable) and the pebble mat was from amazon (and has held up surprisingly well).
