Much of the US is getting socked with snow and ice today so we can't think of a better party to feature than Miranda's playful party: Where we live it's sunny outside, but still very cold, so we decided to bring the outdoors in with an indoor picnic party!
We used a lot of inexpensive things to bring the party to life such as paper doilies, cupcake wrappers (made into a garland and used as lids for our desserts in a jar), and colorful fans made out of paper. The food was simple and "portable," complete with lemonade and blueberry cobbler baked into jars.
The kids had fun sitting on blankets spread on the floor and left with their own bag of goodies. It was the perfect way to celebrate our Addie's first year!
Thanks Miranda! Readers, check out much more of this party at Swoon Studio.

So sweet and creative! I wish I had been invited to Miranda's party!
Great theme and execution. Plus, I have to give you a shout out because you're from my neck of the woods (grew up in Yakima :))
I love the flags strung on the invitation.
