Ana thew a terrific pirate bash for Benjamin and his matey's: Pirate was Benjamin's theme choice all along. After seeing lots of great pirate parties we got some inflatable swords (the greatest pirate item ever), balloons, tattoos, paper hats, skull flag picks and other goods from Ebay stores (yes, they ship to Brazil).
The skull paper garland was an important part of the decoration, bought at a Brazilian website. We chose to serve cold sandwiches in 7 different flavors, so we would please everyone. The online invitation and the sandwiches tags were inspired by an old pirate map, really cool. Arranging small tables for the little ones was a great idea, they loved it. Instead of a big cake we got delicious chocolate cupcakes.
Thanks Ana!

...and this party was for....who? Not Benjamin, certainly.
That is A LOT of cupcakes...I wonder how many people were there? Very extravagant though! Kudos!
Love the look! Love the gestalt cupcakes!
Lighten up, folks!!
The little ones are traditional Brazilian party sweets: brigadeiro, beijinho, docinho de coco, moranguinho, cajuzinho...
I am confused why it assumed this is not for B? Yes, it's a lot of party stuff but it seems like it's done with him in mind for sure. I have seen other parties featured on here that seemed a lot more austere and adult oriented. But inflatable swords, hats, balloons and little tables sound like great fun for the kids. Good job, Ana! Parabens, Benjamin.
Brazilian b-day parties are like these, people. It is really something else! Yes, it is expensive but not as expensive as it would be in North America. One more thing, you do not invite only the kid, but the whole family. There is no 'drop your kid at..nd pick your kid up at..'. And it works!
Que Saudades eu sinto do brasil, e a verdade, os brasileiros sabem fazer uma festa!! Eu nao sou Brasileiro mas morei ai por dois anos, e amei a cultura, o povo, tudo!! Abraco!!!
