Everything about Bugsy's birthday party is terrific, but we think this fabulous and colorful bandana bunting is going to particularly set off a new bunting trend (especially for boys). Cara tells us more: When I first started planning this party, it had a tractor theme. However, as I gathered inspiration, I had trouble nailing down which theme it actually was...bandanas? farm? tractors? In the end, it turned into a little bit from each one. The result was a simple, festive, and fun second birthday for my little country boy.

I made most of the decorations, including the bandana bunting, the happy birthday banner, and napkin rings. The flower vases were simply old cans that I cleaned and wrapped with leftover scrapbook paper. The farm animal balloons were made from a Martha Stewart Crafts kit bought on clearance. Hay bales covered with blankets were used for seating. Bugsy's tractor applique shirt is from Olive and Ollie.

No games, no favors...just family, good food, and a delicious made-by-Grandma layer cake for dessert! More pictures can be seen on my blog, Oak Bee Farm.

Thanks, Cara!
