My Party: Ellie

Pasco, WA

Ellie's party was full of charm and sophistication. Her mom Randi shares some of the beautiful details My daughter is a girly girl who loves pink and dress up. I'm inspired by things that are handmade and have a vintage feel. Out of that came the inspiration for Ellie's pink and blue party.

We sent out homemade invites that made use of some pretty pink vintage fabric from a local shop. Ellie's real silhouette was the star of the invite. Included was a chipboard tag that guests were asked to write a special message on and bring to the party. We hung the tags on her Christmas tree at the party.

To include the dress up in the party we made felt mustaches for the boys to wear and various hats/hair pieces for the ladies made out of extra pink party plates.

Pink macaroons, chocolate cupcakes, popcorn, dried fruit party poppers, cheese/crackers and fruit were served. Izze pop with striped paper straws were also served. Vintage suitcases and handmade fabric flowers were included in the decor.

The party favor was a simple black felt flower tree ornament given in a vellum envelope with a princess crown on the front. My daughter had a blast at her party and I had a blast planning it!

Thanks Randi! Readers, you can see more of Ellie's party and explore Randi's blog at Swoon Studio.
