Color is a great place to start when planning a child's party. Emily gives us the low down on her son's soiree: Viewing all of the beautiful "My Party's" on Ohdeedoh, how could I not be inspired to make my son's second birthday better than the last (which, other than an unexpected Daddy-in-the-hospital incident, went extremely well)? I love bright colors for him. I started with just shades of green&hellip

then added some blue... and some yellow.... and white. In the end I think the color scheme was perfect and really pleasing to look at on a hot summer day. Everett had lots of fun playing in pools on the deck and opening presents in front of our lovely guests.

I made just about everything; "Happy Birthday" banner, tissue paper garland, cupcakes (chocolate zucchini and banana) and toppers, the invitations and so much more! We stuck with the green theme with green veggies and fruits, and "green" biodegradable plates, napkins, forks and cups made from corn starch.

I had a great time planning, putting together and decorating for the party and got lots of "you should do this for a living!" comments. That's always nice to hear!

Thanks Emily!

We love a good party! We just put together a new "My Party" Submission Form. If you'd like to share the good ideas and photos from your child's celebration with the Ohdeedoh community please submit through the form found right here.
