It can take a village to throw a party and we love the community spirit of Gabe's. Valerie shares: The party was pulled together by members of the Arroyo Time Bank, a community of people who share services in exchange for time dollars in North East Los Angeles. The food, cupcakes and decorating help all came from the time bank.

Location: our yard in South Pasadena, CA

Theme: "light" cat theme (in the fabric, cake and sidewalk chalk paw prints). The cat fabric I found at Michael Levine's in downtown Los Angeles' garment district. It had a color scheme of red, yellow and blue. I liked focusing on the primary colors. They are also gender neutral!

Cake: Applesauce, vanilla and cream cheese cake. Raspberries colored the frosting for the mouth. Fruit toppings.

Thanks Valerie!

We love a good party! We just put together a new "My Party" Submission Form. If you'd like to share the good ideas and photos from your child's celebration with the Ohdeedoh community please submit through the form found right here.
