Houston: We have a party! Rebecca shares this terrific party: In honor of our son Gus' 5th birthday we threw an Astronaut Training Party.

Guests "Reported to Duty" at a local park and were greeted with a personalized lanyard badge and given a training manual. Party goers were encouraged to visit each of our training levels to earn stickers in their training manual. Once complete, they were able to earn their Jr. Astronaut Certificate. Levels included: Rocket Ship Construction, Robotic Arm Operation, Zero Gravity training and a really fun Alien Egg Hunt.

All the food was space themed and included: Hydration Station (drinks), Little Dippers (veggies + dip), Rings of Saturn Sandwiches (round sandwich) and Tiny Moon Rocks (grapes). A rocket ship cake and alien marshmallow pops made for a sweet ending to the party.

Thanks Rebecca! Readers, visit Rebecca at Cooking with My Kid and Crafting with My Kid. (And check out our profile of her in our Big Blog Family series.)
