Holly had a lot of ideas for her son's first birthday which all came together for a wonderful party: Henry has a July birthday so I wanted an All-American boy "non-theme" theme...a little bit classic toys and retro, a smidge of circus and classic games, retro silhouette "logo" on invitation and favor stickers and candy shoppe.

We set up the party on our large screened-in back porch and had it on a Saturday morning since we live in south Texas and it gets hot fast in July! We had cold watermelon, brunch food and cold lemonade. I used a circus font on items, vintage soda boxes, polka dots and lots of kraft paper and galvanized items...vintage and all American.

I used vintage book papers and Jenni Bowlin products for the paper banners and paint cans for centerpieces... favors were vintage balsam planes for big kids, bags of chalk for other kids and gourmet choc chip cookies in kraft baker bags for adults...we had cupcakes not big cake..

Thanks Holly! Readers, you can see more of Henry's party at Holly Mathis Interiors (part 1, part 2 and silhouette invitation).

We love a good party! We just put together a new "My Party" Submission Form. If you'd like to share the good ideas and photos from your child's celebration with the Ohdeedoh community please submit through the form found right here.
