Brooke's little guy got a big party for his first. She tells us more and shares her resources: Jack turned one on April 30, 2010. The backyard bbq was set with a petting zoo, a bubble machine, a fun photo booth and giant balloons!
The party colors were red and pale blue with hints of white. I used burlap for the table clothes and went with simple white flowers and greenery in mason jars as centerpieces. Party favors were bubbles and cookies all made at home, but the idea was found on Style Me Pretty. I was also inspired by Hostess with the Mostess.
The food was provided by 18th and Vine BBQ, a family favorite. I designed the invitations and had them letterpressed by Jason McDaniel of Missing Q Press in Dallas. He is amazing and did an excellent job!
The photographer, Lauren Allen, was wonderful - check out her work! The party was from 12pm to 4pm, bbq; cake and party animals from 12 to 2, lemonade and bubbles from 2 to 4! I knew that nap schedules could be a conflict, so I wanted to be flexible on time so that all of our guests could come at some point during the day.
