My Party: Joshua & Justin

Crystal Lake, IL

I can think of a lot of little monsters how would have enjoyed this bash. Jen tells us more: Our little monsters turned one and we celebrated with friends and family. We went with cute cuddly monsters and carried the theme through to decorations, cakes and party favors.

We had friends and family over and had a wide range of children from 10 months to 12 years old. Our activities were "pin the eye on the monster" and make-a-monster cookie decorating. We used plain sugar cookies, 4 colors of frosting, 6 different types of candies -- including gummy eyeballs -- to create faces. All the kids had a great time decorating their monster cookies.

The birthday cakes were handmade by a close friend, one for each birthday boy and one for the guests. The gift bags were uniquely decorated with monster sticker kits we found online and each one had a large monster on front and a smaller on the back, filled with candy and small monster plush toys.

The party was a smashing success and Monsters were a perfect theme for two little boys turning one.

Thanks Jen!
