Katelyn's family and friends celebrated her second birthday at a lovely, DIY party hosted by her mom Sara: After searching online for birthday party ideas, I found this post from your site and was instantly inspired - especially after finding a bunch of Martha Stewart dot decorations on clearance at Wal-mart.
Most of the decorations were DIY, including the birthday banner, party hat, decorated number two and the birthday t-shirt. I won the paper tissue decorations from PomLove. And the cupcakes were made my a friend who just opened up her own side business, Bombshell Pastry. Even the menu was all homemade goods....meatballs with grape jelly and mustard sauce, popcorn chicken with honey dill sauce, peanut butter and creamed honey sandwiches, fruit, cheese and crackers, gold fish and Chex mix. It was a great party!
You can see more photos of Katelyn's beautiful party on Sara's blog, Our Cozy Nest.
Thanks, Sara!

So pretty! You did a great job. I'm wondering if you bought these clearance items recently...if so, which Walmart? I'm close to Katy and would love to copy this!
Hey Angela! Unfortunately, I bought them at the end of the summer when they were clearing out all the old party supplies. I haven't seen them since. I guess I just got lucky!
