Hosting a party at home can be fun, but a lot of work. Laura kept things simple and still memorable for her daughter's party: Our daughter Lucy knew for months and months that she wanted a dinosaur themed birthday party when she turned 4. Since we just had a baby 10 weeks earlier, I knew it needed to be simple and easy.

We allowed her to pick a small group of friends (it ended up being a total of 6 kids) for the party. Everybody met at our house where they ate a lunch of dino-shaped sandwiches and cupcake with dino sprinkes. Then with the help of some parent volunteers (and library museum passes!) we loaded everybody into cars and went to the Museum of Science in Boston. The kids had a great time looking at fossils and exploring the rest of the museum. Party favors were copies of the book "Curious George and the Dinosaur".

Thanks Laura!

We love a good party! If you'd like to share the good ideas and photos from your child's celebration with the Ohdeedoh community please submit through the My Party form found here.
