My Party: Lilla

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Talk about a colorful party! Thalita went all out to celebrate her daughter's very first birthday. She tells us about it: Children's parties here in Brazil tend to be BIG. Mostly thrown in special kids party clubs. I wanted to give my Lilla a party for her to enjoy. It was still big (over 90 grown ups and 40 kids (25 of them below 2yo)! But it was simple, low budget and all home made.

I made dolls, table cloths, panels, buntings, cupcakes and cupcake's toppers. Got a LOT of help from everyone in the family and beloved friends... The party happened at my father's condo play area and was a success!! The kids played all the afternoon, they really enjoyed, even the wee ones. We were so happy it all worked out!

Thanks Thalita! Readers, you can see more of this party and Thalita's resources on her bilingual blog.

We love a good party! We just put together a new "My Party" Submission Form. If you'd like to share the good ideas and photos from your child's celebration with the Ohdeedoh community please submit through the form found right here.
