We think mom Katie might be the superhero of this hugely diy party: We wanted to throw a small party for Maiken's 4th birthday. He had chosen the "super hero" theme and so we just went with it.
I made most everything at home with paper and fabric I already had. I made the invitations out of construction paper, the cape lifted up to show the party details beneath. The Ka-Pow banner was made with scrap fabric and felt I had at home. For favors we made capes for all his guests with their first name initial on it and masks to wear. We also included mini water guns for so they could all play in the backyard.
The cupcake toppers I made with construction paper to say the usual superhero BAM, POW, etc and I also made superhero figurines our of clothespins with paint and I hot glued little fabric capes, the guests were able to also take them superheros home.
All in all it was a simple party; we had a pinata on the front porch that the kids loved and the water guns to squirt each other with since it was the middle of August in Oklahoma!
Thanks Katie!

What a cool b-day party! Great job on all of the diy touches.
One of my favorite party features yet! Great job!
So cute! What are the little guys on the cupcakes made out of?
*Super* looking party - I especially love the bunting and the clothes pin dolls. And of course the striped pants with the frog boots are priceless!
