From the looks of it, Miles had a delicious as well as beautiful birthday celebration. Christine writes: Miles turned one in October and we wanted to celebrate with bright colors and all the things that 1-year-olds love. The party was homemade from the decorations to the food (the homemade oreos were amazing!)
For the table centerpieces I used paint cans covered in wrapping paper then floral foam in the middle. Then I stuck in as many dum-dum suckers as possible to create a colorful and age appropriate setting. Also on the tables were books from Blurb that I had created that documented my son's life. Each book showcased a 3-month span. I used paint cans to hold utensils as well as secure the balloons throughout the party. Finally, chocolate covered marshmallows were dipped and sprinkled to fit the color theme. A few resources: cake stand; tissue paper poms; monkey cake topper; homemade oreos recipe.
Thanks, Christine!
