I wish the simple parties I threw looked this beautiful! Joni tells us about her son's celebration: We wanted to make Miles' 2nd birthday a sweet and simple one, so we invited his closest friends over for a little DIY backyard celebration. We decided on a vintage theme using red and teal for the color scheme. For decor we made red and teal bunting, had balloons, a giant letter "M" thanks to a good friend (now used in our living room), pinwheels and teal party hats. For food we had pb and jelly sandwiches, juice boxes, fruit kabobs, chocolate chip cookies, licorice and the infamous confetti cupcakes.
We had little tables and chairs set up with coloring pages for the kiddos. We had a photo booth with mustaches, hats and wacky glasses. Fleet Foxes was our background music of choice. Each friend went home with a goodie bag with the classics, a bouncy ball, tootsie rolls, DIY crayons and coloring book, silly straw and bubbles.
All in all it was a great little party, a sweet celebration for Miles!
