We thought they didn't turn into little monsters until they turned two? Just kidding. We love monsters and so do kids. Check out Casey's clever ideas for her son's party: We threw a monster bash for Noah's 1st birthday! Instead of party hats, I made little felt monster headbands for the little kids to wear.
Other fun party items included 'monster juice' drinks, with monster labels on the bottles, a stuffed monster, who sat and watched over the gifts, paper shape garland, and a monster bib for when Noah ate his cupcake. You can see the invitations I designed here. It was fun!
My brother in law, Rob, also made this great video of Noah's party.
Thanks Casey! Readers, you can find Casey blogging at My Life as a Sugar Lander and also selling awesome gocco cards at Paper + Twine.

these monster headbands are so cute! how did you make them?
We did a monster party for our little guy's first birthday too. Since he was an October baby it was super easy to find lots of monster goodies. Those headbands are such a great touch.
hi alainnotebook! --the headbands are felt, with the eyes/mouth hand sewn on, and a simple elastic band sewn on either side. i used the sewing machine for that, so it would be stronger.
Amazing...SO impressed!!!
