A SpongeBob Squarepants party we'd actually want to attend! Beth tells us all about her themed party with lots of special touches: It all started by Rosie announcing she wanted a 'pink-tutu-Spongebob' party. I thought it was pretty inventive for a soon-to-be-3-year-old. I found some darling pink Spongebob invitations from TinyPrints, and everything kind of evolved from there. I straight stitched a bit of pink tulle onto the invite to give Spongebob his very own tutu.
The decor was all pink and yellow. I didn't want it to be too overly commercialized. I made almost everything; the party banner, the tissue paper poms, the centerpieces. I also made some pretty little pennants that I stuck in the ground along the path to the door with fabric scraps to welcome guests.
When the girls arrived, they each got their own pink and yellow tutu that I made. Then they decorated little boxes for their Spongebob crystal bracelets that Rosie and I made. The bracelets were the take-home favor, and were attached to homemade #3 suckers that I purchased from Custom Candy Creations. I also purchased Rosie's birthday pettiskirt, Spongebob birthday crown, and hair clippies from Etsy.
The menu included, White Castle burgers standing in for Krabby Patties, sweet potato fries, regular french fries, and strawberry and banana salad. There was an incredible 2-tiered Spongebob cake that my friend made for the occasion. After the girls ate, they did a Spongebob pinata complete with his own tutu.
I love planning parties, and get lots of inspiration online. I love TomKat Studios blog, Little Shindigs blog, Birthday Girl blog, and Style Me Pretty, to name a few.
It was such a great party! Rosie and her friends had a blast!
