We love woodsy rooms, so what's not to love about a woodsy party? Kate shares hers: My little one-year-old, Tom, was my inspiration. I love all things nature. (Did that say "I"? I meant HE loves all things nature!) Owls, trees, acorns, deer and just being outside. It was our inspiration for his first bedroom, so of course it should be the theme of his first birthday. And since his birthday is in the middle of winter (not his favorite), we decided to bring nature inside to him.
Did I mention we grew a tree on our table for the occasion? In reality, a little dogwood fell in our backyard (Thank God! I mean…sorry tree) so my husband chopped off the top, put it on our table and covered the top with Hobby Lobby greenery. (I promise I didn’t even nudge that tree. It fell on its own!)
Oh, and we had lots of food! Including acorns made of Hershey’s kisses with miniature Sandies cookies “glued” on top with icing. Don’t you wish those fell out of trees?
We had crowns for the forest princes and princesses, a photo booth (perhaps my favorite part), and a balloon wreath (not exactly with the theme, but it WAS Tom's favorite decoration BY FAR).
All in all, I think our little bug had a wonderful and totally exhausting birthday! Happy Birthday to my sweet, wonderful, cuddly, happy, laughing, silly child!

LOVE it! Plus the fact that you swear that everything was so easy, and I am inclined to believe you. I'm so glad OhDeedoh posted this! Woodsy themes are the best. If you want to see how she did it, here is the link to the specific post on her great blog:

How cool & different!!!
clever!!
What kind of cookies are those that the hershey kisses are attached too making acorns? So cute!
@bohemianbeauty7 Thank you! I used Sandies cookies from those individualized 100-calorie packs they sell by the box. I think mini-Nilla Wafers would work too, but my store was out at the time!
Love, love, love this theme and all the hard work you put into this beautiful party!
