Norah's Secondhand Big Girl Room

My Room

Name: Norah (3)
Location: Toronto, Ontario

Our daughter Norah's "big girl" room is colourful, to say the least. Not wanting to be limited to a specific colour palette, we just started adding pieces that meant something to us or to her.

We used a secondhand bed from a friend's grandmother, a rocking chair from grandparents, a desk refinished by great grandpa, prayer flags from grandpa and aunt Sarah's recent trip to Nepal....and countless other 'finds' along the way — pretty much everything is found/salvaged/gifted/reclaimed. Maps and globes help inspire her of her parents' love of travel, and we were sure to include lots of areas for Norah's own photos, artwork, postcards, etc. It's been fun to add to and doesn't limit her down the road as she gets older. Now, onto her new baby brother's room...

Thanks, Jessica!
