Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin
Our first daughter was born just ten days ago, and after the wonderful pleasure of raising three boys, I was unbelievably excited to finally decorate a little girl's nursery! Scarlet's room is filled with the sweet treasures I've accumulated over my lifetime from travels, flea markets, thrift stores and even my own childhood bedroom (her bumper is covered in the fabric that was once on my bed as a tween).
I hoped to create a whimsical space to sleep and play - a room to enliven a little girl's imaginations. And I couldn't resist adding a few special handmade goods from the outstanding artists and crafters around the online marketplace.
I also painted her walls white and stenciled a wall of polka dots, glued on a wall of butterflies and created several garlands and crowns (feathers and flowers) to be used both as decorations and as photo props for her endless shoots to come. And finally, I gave the chest of drawers a pretty ombre finish with samples of pink paint from Home Depot.
