Sarah sent in photos of the home she shares with her 5 and a half year old daughter Roën. In this large open loft-like space, she has carved out a magical room within a room for Roën which is brightly colored and beautiful.
Sarah tells us: My child is ever and always my muse when it comes to anything she touches, which is everything. She's multifaceted, to be sure, but somehow each of her facets is bold. Hence, the colors in her room (and in the rest of our home, and on our car, and in what she wears, and in what she crafts (but somehow not in what she eats!).
i believe it is important to surround your child with that which embraces her, suits her needs and challenges her growth. color is one important aspect of this sort of surround.

What an insanely fantastic space! A wonderfully bright, industrial-style canvas from which to create the magic. The separate areas are skillfully defined within the one large space. Really like the organization of art supplies and of course the bed. Roën is one lucky little girl. So many inspirational ideas in here. Would love to see more views. Thanks for posting.
What a lucky girl! What I wouldn't give for a space like that, amazing! I think this is my favorite room ever, it is so incredible! Ahh! I can't stop looking at the picture of the whole room. Such amazing eye candy!
Also, love this quote, "i believe it is important to surround your child with that which embraces her, suits her needs and challenges her growth." Such a good point, and that's the main problem with a lot of the cool looking rooms. It's not so hard to make a room look great, but to make it really suit the child's personality and needs is more of a challenge. Well done!
