Michele's son Alistair is growing up in a bright and happy room, complete with cheery green walls and an Iron Man painting. She writes: We have been collecting baby items for awhile now from flea markets, antique shows, and etsy. We wanted a room that could grow with him so we didn't want to go too "baby" in his nursery.
As soon as we found out we were having a boy we knew our Iron Man painting would go in there, but we wanted to have a rainbow of colors and not stick to a theme.
Thanks, Michele and Alistair!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the pillow! Can I ask where you bought it?
I love the pillow too. And those sign-language blocks!
beautiful room. i love love love the print above the crib as well as the book rack. may ask where you found them?
Great dresser!
My two oldest girls have the ball peg rack and P.B. book rack in the smaller size. Which is great for storing odd shaped books when young and comics when older.
Nice to see the products work equally as well in a boy's room.
I agree - buy items that will last even if they cost a little more.
Love the room, so fun.
Thanks everyone! The pillow is a children's hankie I found at an antique store and sewed into a pillow cover. The sign language blocks are from the etsy store TwoSarahs. The print above the crib is a Shinzi Katoh from shoppenelopes.com. The bookshelf is from Pottery Barn Kids.
I love that double rocking chair. Where did you get it? I wish I could turn back time and buy that for our nursery. But now the youngest is almost three, and it's too late. I'm going to recommend it to my pregnant neighbor!
Well, the rocker is very cute. It's the Nurseryworks Storytime Rocker, but not practical at all for the middle of the night. It's super uncomfortable and you can't rest your head. My husband and I are talking about getting a hideous rocking recliner to get through teething. Yeesh!
I am thinking it might be a good rocker in a few years, though. Now that my youngest will be 3 in March, he is getting big and it's hard to snuggle in our glider. I'd love to be able to sit him beside me and rock in that double rocker! So maybe you should hang on to it for further down the road.
I'm glad you gave me the scoop. Finding a chair to rest your head in during those middle-of-the-night "meetings" is so important!
where did you get the IronMan painting! ??? I love it.
i love the colors! would you mind sharing where you bought the little quilt (shown in the last pic)?
ekoz- oh I'm definitely hanging onto the chair...I really do love it, but I need something else that I can sleep in.
The Iron Man painting is by Jake Gillespie (jakegillespie.com). We bought it several years ago, but he always has stuff like that floating around.
The quilt was a $10 find at an antique show (of course)
Here's hoping for better sleep and cozy nights! Thanks for the info.
