Four-year-old Brewer has a great looking and full of fun bedroom - his mom Candice tells us all about it: The inspiration for the room is ART SCHOOL! My son just started art-infused pre-k and he LOVES it! His days are full of finger painting, water colors, glueing and cutting and his walls show it!
The abundance of color in both school and his room are definitely uplifting!
The wall color is simple: "fisherman's net" from Olympic paint(Lowes). The B's are just painted with a simple acrylic red from an art supply store. The cubby bins are closetmaid brand which I have seen at both Walmart and Target. The framed prints are wpa poster's from Ebay. Everything else is either vintage, from Marshall's or my son's art!

You mention that your cubbies are by Closetmaid. Did you add the wheels to them? I am looking for something similar. Most of what I have found is flimsy and won't last long. Considering just building a few boxy shelves and adding wheels but I'm still looking for good inspirations.
Your son's art looks great! I bet it really makes him proud to hang it up in his room. I'd never heard of an art pre-school before, but it sounds like a lot of fun.

yes, we added the wheels to it. they have pro's and con's. Easy to move which is good seeing as i re-arrange way too much, but sometimes they move a little too easy when you want them to stay put! Also, by the time we bought 2 cubby pieces, 4 canvas bins and the wheels we spent over $100! i passed up other pieces for that much cause i couldn't afford it. haha! BUT they are very sturdy!
i just painted a few coats of chalkboard paint to the wall and framed it with some painted molding. Just nailed them straight into the wall.
his pre-school is amazing. Exactly what i wanted for him!
