Sean and his wife created a "space wonderland" for their son in a space much smaller than a spaceship! Sean tells us more: Before baby Aden was born, my wife and I had a hard time trying to figure out what to do with an 10' x 8' room (which used to be wife's dressing room) that we decided to use for the nursery.
We serendipitously found space themed DwellStudio bedding at Target on clearance. The bedding inspired us to create a space wonderland for Aden. We painted the walls blue/green and added orange accents. We also bought the crib from Target (DwellStudio edition) to complement our modern sensibilities.
The window treatments and crib skirts were graciously made by mother-in-law using the same space themed blankets. The wooden mobile was a gift from my manager from his European travels. The wooden letters/nuzzles were bought from Etsy (search for nuzzles). We did splurge a bit on getting the Herman Miller Eames rocker.
I am glad the nursery turned out ok considering the space constraints. Hopefully our baby will have fun and be happy at his new digs.
Thanks Sean!

I LOVE this room! Great job pulling such a small space into a fun nursery! Can I ask what paint colors you used? I'd love to do something similar for my boys' big boy room.
what a beautiful room. did you paint those murals on the walls as well?! how talented you are! i especially like the monkey coming out of the spaceship! i'm sure your little boy will have a ball in this room that was decorated with so much love and care.
Both green & blue paints were from Home Depot. I don't really know the specific name of the color since I had Home Depot color match the colors from a design magazine that we both really liked. As for the murals, I can't take credit for it. They are very high quality vinyl stickers from e-glue, a french design company. http://e-glue.fr

I want to reach in through my computer screen and steal that mobile!! SOOOooooo CUTE!!!! Great job on the room!!
So nice. I love it.
I love it! So cute yet not overly cute. Well done. Not to be a Debbie Downer...my only concern are those crib bumpers...our state atty general just sent out a message recommended they not be used since they make pose a suffocation hazard.
This is super cute! (and way to go, Cerritos!).
question for Sean on the Eames rocker - we were also looking to get one for our nursery but they seem a bit on the small side... 25" wide by 27" deep. am i wrong? are you able to sit in it comfortably w/o being squished into it? i'm 5'4" and 125lbs.
Eames rocker is very comfortable. I feed the baby at night while sitting on the rocker and I am 5'9 160lbs. I would go to a modern furniture store like DWR , Room and Board, etc and try it out. They are not for everyone i suppose.

Sean.
