Megan created this charming playroom before the nursery and why not, they're so much fun to put together. She tells us more: This room is an odd shape, so when I first saw the Land of Nod mini pullout I knew it would be perfect for the nook and I could start designing around it.
Everytime I went into Ikea, I fell in love with those fun rugs and fabric that they have, so I knew I wanted to incorporate the rugs and the fabric on the window treatment. I was on Urban Outfitters website one day and just had to have the pillows that are on the couch. I purchased all the art from Catalina Island in the Dominican Republic on a family vacation. The light fixture is from an upcycled furniture store in downtown Orlando.
The vinyl tree decal I found on Etsy and just fell in love with it. I think I may use it as a height measuring chart also! The color of the walls is Pickle by Sherwin Williams- I didn't even paint a sample of it on the wall, I knew I would LOVE it. I also purchased the PLAY letters above the tv at Anthropologie.
I think when Baby D is born in March she is going to love all the colors I put into the room. This is my favorite room in the house, I guess I have to start working on the nursery now!
Thanks Megan!

That green is my favorite color. Probably too much for a bedroom...but perfect for a playroom! I love it!!!!!
That green is fabulous, and I LOVE the window treatment fabric. Great room!
Love the room, and the green!
Yay Lake Mary! I used to live across the street from LMHS :)
I painted my daughter's bedroom lime green and it was a color that worked so well in combination with woods, fabrics and objects in her room. Although a strong color, this paint is a beautiful backdrop for all that is going one here - the rugs especially. It's funny, even though this tone is so different than the one that I used, it reminds me of how versatile (and overlooked) this color is for children.
Beautiful room and so different ( in a great way) from all the other rooms shown. I believe the bright green walls make the furniture and art work pop.
Love the artwork and well actually everything. Really, really cool room that I am sure everyone will enjoy lounging around in.....
Just a few curious questions, if I may........ where were the floor cushions purchased? and what is that orange box thing?
Great job, can't wait to see the nursery!
I love the green walls, art work, the tree decal and all the great colors that pull this together. Makes me want to go out and copy it. Great play room!
I love to see so much time and energy go into the room that will get the most use--the playroom! This is a great space that will be easy to keep fresh for many years of good times.
Hi, I am the playroom designer... I was going to answer Ameliadk's questions.
The orange box is a little trunk that lifts and you can store toys in there-it was something of mine that I painted and the cushions on the floor are from World Market. Glad everyone liked it. Thanks for all the great comments =)
