A wonderful example of how a room can be sophisticated yet not an ounce stodgy. Julie shares:A mix of classic and modern, I wanted the nursery to not feel or look like a baby's room and could easily transition into a toddler room. This room also has to potentially serve as a guest room since we live in the city and space is limited.
To me, clean lines and a calm and soothing environment doesn't have to mean boring or white. I wanted to use color as accent but not the driving theme for the room. My husband put up the wainscoting for a classic look and we had the floors stained a dark espresso.
Early on, I put together a mood board which was a great way for us to know how the room could come together without committing to any expensive purchases upfront. My advice to anyone putting together their baby's room is that you can extend your personal style into a nursery and it should be an extension of your home.
I also wanted to make sure we were organized so I saved alot of cardboard boxes and wrapped them with wrapping paper/labels and made my own drawer dividers. :) Probably the most cost effective thing I did!

Where is the crib bumper from?
Re: crib bumpers
Before deciding to use bumpers, please be aware of the dangers. Various levels of government are currently considering banning the sale and manufacture of crib bumpers.

Agree with @mschatelaine - make sure you are aware of the dangers of bumpers - I am taking them off when baby H is in there. They are purely decorative at this point!
